Dr. Christopher O’Connell will be joining Ponte Vedra Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery in July 2008.   He is a native of Jacksonville and a graduate of the Bolles School.   He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University.  Dr. O’Connell received his Medical Degree from the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. 

Dr. O’Connell performed both his Internal Medicine Internship and Dermatology Residency training at Columbia University’s St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.   While in residency, Dr. O’Connell received training in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

While working with physicians from St. Luke's Roosevelt’s Skin of Color Institute, he also received additional experience in the diagnosis and management of dermatologic disease in persons of color. 

Dr. O’Connell has published articles in numerous journals and magazines, including the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. He is looking forward to helping his community and serving the needs of our patients.
